Below is a detailed description of how each event went.
> April 24-25 Peterstown, WV-Riding School
This was a great riding weekend, but a tough weekend on me. On Friday after dinner, I returned to my trailer to find my computer, tv, weed eater and a couple of jersey's stolen! I was up on a mountain in the middle of the woods, the last place I would ever think someone would steal from someone, but I was wrong! The second bad thing was after finishing riding on Sunday, I returned back to camp to see all my ez-ups in a big pile from big gust of wind! I had every leg staked to the ground and also 2 bikes tied to it, amazing the power wind has. So needless to say, it was a tough weekend on me. The riding was great though! Beautiful area with plenty of rocks, logs and great hills. Thank you to Travis Jackson, he helped me throughout the entire weekend and gave me access to this awesome place. All the riders worked hard and tried obstacles that challenged them. And we had great weather, it was calling for rain all weekend, but we lucked out and only got a few sprinkles.
> May 1-2-Winnsboro, LA-Riding School
This class was at Rusty Wiggers farm and he was a great host to me and all the riders that attended. We had the best crawfish I have ever had! I even took a box full home so I could have them again, the food in Louisiana is amazing! The farm was great and had everything I could have ever asked, they where having a LACC race soon after the class so I had plenty of trails to work with. All the riders meshed together well and the atmosphere was really good. We had an awesome grass track, a nice MX with a super long whoop section, and hills that challenged the more advanced riders. I saw big improvements by each rider which always makes me feel good! Lucas Comeaux really helped me a lot in setting me up with this property and also re-scheduling a race so we could have a school. If you ever are in the southeast, make sure to attend a LACC race, Lucas does a fantastic job with the series.
> May 7-8-Henderson, NC (North Carolina Motorsports park)-Riding School
All I can say is this is a great facility. 2 beautiful MX tracks, woods, hills, and everything in between, this place has it! Mark (the owner) puts a lot of effort into his facility and it shows. You need to go and check it out and stay the weekend, because you will definitely enjoy your stay.
I had a great group of riders and we had a lot of fun on and off the bikes, other than a few nasty spills on the log double, and creek crossings everything went great and the weather was perfect! A little shower on Friday night made for perfect conditions all weekend! This group of riders worked hard and tried everything I threw at them and gained confidence in each section. I have talked to a few of them after the class and their results at the track are improving after applying the new techniques, great job guys!
> May 9-Yadkinville, NC (GNCC)-Yamaha Demo Ride
After the school in Henderson, I loaded up and headed for Yadkinville for the demo. I showed up and got set-up around 2 am. My dad and I laid out a nice track for the demo and all the riders who attended loved the bikes and enjoyed the track we set-up. My wife raced the morning race and charged from start to finish, she finished 5th in the highly competitive women's A class. Great weekend, with blue skies and warm temperatures.
> May 14-16-Tuscumbia, Al (Family Trail Ride event)-Demo Ride/Mini Schools
This was a super fun even, located at the Seven Spring Lodge, with great trails laid out. Scott Voorheis (trail boss) took me on the single track and there were some really technical spots to challenge the riders. Scott and the entire crew did a top notch job in making a great event. The seven springs facility was great, we stayed in grain silos! They have a saloon on site for food and even had a live band on Saturday night. This is a great place to take the family, camp out and enjoy the scenery and trails. A lot of un-real scenery on the trail, like indian caves, great views (you can see into Tennessee), and a open bee hive!
I also had some mini seminars (1 hour long, focusing on individual sections), Scott helped me a lot in setting this up and we had a lot of great sections we worked on. All the riders I worked with learned some new techniques in the areas they signed up for.
I also had a Yamaha demo ride at the event and I was really busy, a lot of riders rode the bikes and got a good feel for the Yamaha bikes. It was a busy weekend but I had a great time! Can't wait to go back in November for the next event at Seven Springs lodge!
> May 22-23-Canaseraga, NY-Riding School
This was held on Rick Lisowski's property in the green, lush hills of western New York. Other than getting stuck and having to be towed 2 times to get parked, we had a great weekend! It was really wet and the grass field I tried to park on was an absolute marsh. After getting parked everything went smoothly and this was a great piece of property and a hard working group of riders. All the riders were equally matched and pushed each other to master the techniques and conquer the obstacles I set out for them. They learned quick and once they applied the techniques hey were able to do things they were un-able to do before on the track. Rick was a great host and made sure everyone had a good time and enjoyed their stay. I hope to go back next year, but wait a month or so later so it isn't so wet. Thank you to all the riders for working hard and pushing themselves.
